Body Changes

There are many changes you can expect when starting a new diet or healthy lifestyle. Most importantly everyone is different and so is each person’s body! You may never deal with anything like this, or perhaps more than one change. This is just an idea of things that could come up- and not to freak out if they happen!

You may begin to sweat more. Or perhaps sweat less than you did before.

You might get new hair growth- in new and random places.

Hair loss is also a possiblity.

Energy levels are bound to change. Up or down, more likely up then down then up and so on….

Your sleep will be affected. Good or bad. You may end up sleeping more or less.

Because your hormones are being affected by a diet or increase in physical activity- there’s a chance your sex drive will change. Up or down like most things. But, if you are on a strict calorie deficit for a long period of time- it’s likely that your sex drive will lower until you come out of the deficit.

There’s a possibliity you’ll experience body temperature changes. I.E. your hands and feet getting cold- especially if you live in a cold climate. Or you could exprience hot flashes, or random warmess in muscles and skin.

If you lose a lot of weight, and you do so quickly instead of letting it be a slow and steady process there’s a chance you could experience loose skin. Stretch marks are also a possiblity. This is a big reason to go slow and steady! Make it a lifestlye change, not a race to lose as much weight as quickly as possible.

Soreness. Even in areas that you haven’t been exercising- or in muscles and areas of the body sometimes you didn’t even know you had!

Injuries. And these can affect your body in many ways. It’s very common to experience an injury when starting a new active lifestyle or plan. Be safe, learn as much as you can and go slow!

The one underlying principle in here I want to bring up is to go slow. Don’t rush it. Whether it be building muscle, getting healthy, losing fat- take your time. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right?!?!
