Those Inner Voices…

We all have them. They tell you to get out of bed in the morning. To push harder. That today will be a good day.

But that’s not the voice I wanna talk about. I want to address the voice that causes us (all) to quit. I call it the “Fuck It” voice.

This voice in our heads can be very powerful. And very dangerous.

It’s the voice that causes us to quit. To give up. To not care. To be lazy. That it/you’re/we’re/I am not good enough.

Don’t give this voice any more power than it already has. This isn’t a self-help lecture. It’s a reminder…. that if you’re starting a new diet, routine or trying to change anything- this part of us will sneak up on us when we least expect it. So expect it. Plan for it.

**To note. When we drink a couple beers, smoke a joint at a party or fall into negative habits/traps we give more power/strength to our ‘fuck it’ voice. Have two glasses of wine and see what that voice says. See the power it has over us.

The more we plan for it and acknowledge it- the better off we are. In all aspects of our lives. Because it won’t go away.
